Overview

We are looking for a Fullstack Developer who knows Contentful inside and out — not just as a tool, but as an architectural foundation. You will join our Technology team and take ownership of how we design, build, and evolve content-driven digital experiences for our clients.

In practice, that means architecting headless CMS solutions from the ground up, modeling content structures that scale across channels, and building the frontend and backend layers that bring them to life. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and content teams — often acting as the person who bridges the technical and editorial worlds.

The role in practice

• You will work closely with project managers, client representatives, designers, and content teams to clarify needs and shape solutions — often acting as the person who translates business goals into practical technical approaches.

• At the core of the role is Contentful: you will architect and implement headless CMS solutions from the ground up — content modeling, environment management, and API integrations (REST, GraphQL, CDA/CMA) — and design composable digital architectures that connect Contentful with eCommerce platforms, analytics tools, and third-party services.

• This is a hands-on role: a significant part of your time will go into building, integrating, and evolving fullstack applications — working across frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Node.js or similar) to bring content experiences to life.

• We expect you to think beyond implementation. Sometimes the biggest impact comes from improving a workflow, simplifying a process, or rethinking how content is structured — not just writing more code.

• You will have a high degree of autonomy in how you approach your work. We trust our developers to choose the right tools, patterns, and ways of working — and we actively encourage experimentation, including with AI-assisted tools across ideation, prototyping, coding, and optimization.

• We typically operate in agile setups such as Scrum or Kanban, with lightweight rituals like stand-ups and planning sessions. Depending on your interests, there may also be opportunities to contribute to how the team works, though no such role is predefined.

What we're looking for

Required:

• Proven experience designing headless CMS architectures — preferably with Contentful as the core platform

• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js

• Backend development experience (Node.js or equivalent)

• Fluency in English — Finnish or German is a plus

• Solid understanding of REST and/or GraphQL APIs

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and cloud platforms

Nice to have:

• Experience with Contentful App Framework or UI Extensions

• Personalization, localization, or multi-language setups in Contentful

• Edge rendering, CDNs, and performance optimization

• eCommerce or Digital Experience Platform (DXP) background

• Familiarity with design systems and component-driven development
